Untitled #10

I've told you I'm easily in love.

I'm in love with Minke.
I'm in love with Rasus.
I'm in love with Teto.
I'm in love with Darcy.
I'm in love with Rochester.
I'm in love with Vronsky.
I'm in love with Heathcliff.

Sang Pengabur Batas

Kau mengaburkan batas-batas antara cinta dan benci.
Kenyataan dan mimpi.
Keseriusan dan basa-basi.
Cita-cita dan ambisi.
Pilihan hidup dan doktrinasi.

Hai, sang ahli pengabur batas!
Di mana kau sekarang?

Fragment #14

Boy: Why you hate me?

Girl: I don't know.

Boy: You must have a reason.

Girl: I don't have any reason.

Boy: Maybe because I am troublesome or annoying?

Girl: No, not at all. I just want it. I want to hate you, that's why I hate you.

Boy: What a heartless!

Girl: No, I'm not a heartless. Hatred is a feeling.

Boy: Okay. It's no use talking to you anymore. Goodbye.

Girl: As you please.

Fragment #13

Girl: Paul, what you're doing now?

Boy: I'm watching TV now. I'm watching Indonesian soap opera.

Girl: Wow... Really? Can you understand the story? Can you understand Indonesian?

Boy: I understand some of the words so I can quite predict what happens there.

Girl: What is the title?

Boy: Hmm... Bakso... Bakso Cinta.

Girl: (bursting in laugh) Are you kidding me?

Boy: No, I love watching these soap operas these days.

Girl: Well actually, it's not a soap opera. It's a kind of movie. Television movie.

Boy: But why the title is Bakso Cinta?

Girl: You know Bakso? Bakso is meatball. And cinta means love.

Boy: Yes, I know that. But why it has a funny title like that?

Girl: Well... it's like a trend in Indonesian television movies to have very catchy titles like that. The show is actually like a romantic comedy in general. They have simple stories, about a girl and a boy. And mostly, these movies have happy ending. And in the case of Bakso Cinta, it is actually quite predictable. The story can either be about a girl falling in love to a meatball seller, a boy falling in love to a meatball seller's daughter, or a boy and a girl falling in love to each other while they're eating meatball... So, it's just as simple as that.

Boy: Ya ya ya, I got it. Hmm... interesting...

Girl: You enjoy the movie?

Boy: Very much.

Girl: You want your love story to be as simple as that of the romcom story?

Boy: Well, no. I know that love story in real life will not be as simple as that. But it's quite entertaining to watch this kind of movie. I feel refreshed. I feel relaxed. You don't need to think too much while watching it, right?

Girl: Okay, enjoy watching the movie, Paul.

Boy: I hope one day we can watch this kind of movie together and talk about how love story in real life is like.

Untitled #9

Sometimes, it's just how you respond to somebody else's stuff that defines your quality as a human being.

Untitled #8

As a girl, I still wonder how men can talk to each other while they're peeing side by side?

Does it happen in real life or only in movies?

Untitled #7

What is the point of a marriage?

My answer will be 'spending as much time together'.

Fragment #12

Some ones: What are you doing?

Me: I'm making memories.

Some ones: But you take many photos, too many. And while you're doing it, you're losing the moments.

Me: No. I'm enjoying the moments and making memories at the same time. You know the stupidest thing people do is trusting their brain too much. Brain damages with time. Another reason is you just can't share what's inside your brain with your friends, kids, grandkids, anyone but photos can be shared.

You can say I'm a narcissist or whatever. But I don't care. None of what you say matters to me.

Cewek: Kamu nyetirnya lambat banget ya...

Cowok: Itu karena aku ingin menghabiskan sebanyak mungkin waktu denganmu.

Good vs Kind

I've been spending hours arguing with Mamdouh about the meaning of 'good' and 'kind'.

Mamdouh keeps saying that both are the same while I keep convincing him that both are different.

'Good' is more about how you treat and behave to yourself. You're not a good person if you do something forbidden (either by religious or country rules) but that something does not affect or harm other people (but it doesn't mean that you won't be jailed if caught doing that, hahaha).

For example, you're not good if you drink alcohol, smoke weeds, watch porns, go partying to clubs, etc.

Meanwhile, 'kind' is more about how you treat or behave to other people, environment, society, animal, plants, and all God's creation.

The root of being kind is about not stealing somebody else's belonging (pretty much like what's mentioned in 'the kite runner').
If you kill, you're not kind because you steal somebody else's life.
If you lie, you're not kind because you steal somebody else's right of truths.
If you corrupt, you're not kind because you steal somebody else's money.
If you drive carelessly, you're not kind because you steal somebody else's feeling of comfort and safety.

I think that's all the difference between 'good' and 'kind'.
