My Gal

One thing that is enjoyable about windowshopping with one of my best girls, Gal, is that when I point at some bikinis or other very revealing dresses and say to her "that is so you".

And another enjoyable thing about spending time with her is that I can pretend that we're both boys so I can mock her anytime I like (and she does me anytime she likes) and that we can do anything that I do not normally do with my other best girls.

But the saddest thing about us is that we never hug. Not that I do not want it. It's just that she does not really like the physical contact with others. Maybe crying on my shoulder is the furthest thing she can do.

Anyway, I love her more than anyone might have ever guessed.

Boy: Dear, I want you to be my girlfriend...

Girl: Why? Why me? You've met a lot of girls. But why me? I remember the last time you told me about you playing futsal and the girls were getting crazy when they saw you. Why don't you ask one of them to be your girlfriend? Or have you?

Boy: No, I haven't. It's only you that I want because it's nice to talk to you.

Girl: Really? Is that the reason you want me to be your girlfriend? It's not because none of the girls you met is as beautiful and skinny as I am?

Boy: Haha... You really smart, darling... Yes, you are the most beautiful and sexiest girl I've ever met. So, you wanna be my girlfriend?

Girl: No, I can't.

Boy: Please. Please be my girlfriend.

Girl: Sorry, Paul, I can't.

Boy: Why? Don't you find me attractive?

Girl: You are attractive to me and to almost every girl, Paul. I see every girl look at you twice when you pass them by. But to be my boyfriend, it's more than just about how much attractive you are to me.

Boy: Is it because of my religion? You said you're fine with my religion.

Girl: Yes, I'm fine with your religion in terms of friendship. But when you decide to be somebody else's girlfriend, you have to be serious about that. It means, the boyfriend and girlfriend must share the same vision, the same belief, the same religious view. But, again, that is not the main reason why I can't be your girlfriend.

Boy: Then what is the main reason?

Girl: How long will you be in Indonesia?

Boy: 14 months in total. Until now, I've been here for approximately 5 months. So there are about 9 months left.

Girl: So, technically, if I say yes, I will be your girlfriend for 9 months?

Boy: Yes.

Girl: And after that you will leave me?

Boy: Yes, unless you wanna come with me.

Girl: No, of course I won't leave Indonesia.

Boy: So what's the problem with me leaving this country?

Girl: I'm afraid I will fall in love with you.

Boy: So don't!

Girl: How can you say that?

Boy: It's easy. Don't let your feelings come out when you're with me.

Girl: So what's the point of being boyfriend-girlfriend if there's no feeling?

Boy: I need someone to talk.

Girl: You can talk to me anytime you want even if I'm not your girlfriend.

Boy: I wanna talk in terms of love.

Girl: You say there's no love included.

Boy: I wanna talk to you about something personal.

Girl: You've been talking about anything to me Paul, even the most personal.

Boy: Okay... okay... I wanna do what a friend can't do.

Girl: Like?

Boy: Kissing you.

Girl: I know it. I know that's your only motivation. So I guess it's quite clear for you why I can't be your girlfriend.

Boy: But...

Girl: You still wanna be my friend or not?

Boy: Yes, of course.

Girl: So, let's stop the conversation here and never talk about it anymore.
